East Flanders and Ghent provide high-quality specialised services to anyone who wants to practise sports in a medically sound manner.
1  MOVEMENT AND SPORTS SCIENCES DEPARTMENT
The kinesiology lab specialises in motion analyses in top-class sports situations, among other things. The exertion physiology and training study lab has experience in performance monitoring, particularly in soccer, SPORTS MEDICINE CENTRE
2  SPORTS MEDICINE CENTRE
The Sports Medicine Centre of the University Hospital of Ghent provides high-quality specialised services to anyone who wants to practise sports in a medically sound manner, to improve their exertion efficiency or to achieve a higher physical and mental well-being. The Sports Medicine Centre is approved by the Ministry of the Flemish Community as an examination centre for Medically Sound Sports Practice. Its young and dynamic team is at your disposal every day, providing the following services: sports-medical examination, exertion physiology and training advice, motion analysis, bicycle set-up, sports-medical consultation, sports kinesitherapy, sports-psychological evaluation, advice and coaching and sports dietary advice. The Sports Medicine Centre is experienced in water sports (rowing, kayaking, sailing), cycling, athletics, triathlon, duathlon and soccer.

le vendredi 25 mars, Messieurs Beckers et De Bondt emmèneront le président brésilien, Mr Nuzman, à Gand où, outre la visite des infrastructures sportives, il aura l’occasion de s’entretenir avec le recteur de l’université de Gand, prof. Dr. Paul Van Cauwenberge ainsi qu’avec le Bourgmestre, Daniël Termont, les autorités communales de la ville de Gand et les autorités provinciales de Flandre Orientale.
Le président du CIO, Jacques Rogge sera également présent vendredi pour accueillir son collègue du CIO.
